About Downtown Disney
If you got tired already of visiting all four Disney theme parks and even cooled off with the two water parks that they have to offer, why not just party, shop, dine over at the Downtown Disney Area. The area is divided into three sections namely Downtown Disney West Side, Downtown Disney Marketplace, and Pleasure Island. Here there is such a variety on these areas on what to do, where to eat and where to shop. We'll take a look at these areas on what they have to offer:
Downtown Disney West Side - They offer a wide variety of top notch restaurants to cater to whatever you crave for. They even have a 24-screen AMC Pleasure Island movie theatre and some shops that you would not usually find. There is also the very entertaining Cirque du Soleil La Nouba live entertainment show and the DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park.
Also don't forget the Characters in Flight operated by Aerophile. This giant tethered balloon 400 feet above takes you on a 8 to 10 minutes balloon ride. It gives you a 360-degree view of the whole Walt Disney World Florida. What makes this ride so special as well is the silhouettes added to the ride of your favorite Disney characters like Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Dumbo and many more. They are internally illuminated in the balloon that adds a more elegant touch to the ride. From this balloon ride definitely you will see amazing views 10 miles away from your viewing point in the balloon.
Downtown Disney Marketplace - If you are looking some authentic Disney merchandise then this area is what you are looking for. For Bath products you can always go to Basin-Bath and Facial products, it even as an art store where you can find some of pictures, sculptures and paintings of some your favorite characters in the Disney scene. You can find more than fifteen shops that specializes on some of the things that you usually collect or have them as fantastic souvenirs. For shopaholics out there, this is definitely the spot you are looking for.
Pleasure Island - This combines the west side and the marketplace for all your relaxation needs. Although the highlight of this area is the street party that allows guests to celebrate any occasions they have. There are DJ's and party hosts that encourage guests to join them with their stilt walker friends and their own party crew. Join in the fun as everyone is encouraged to dance and sing along with them too.
